Turkey Tacos

  • 1 1/2 lb (750 g) Canadian Ground Turkey
  • 1 small Onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) Oregano
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) each, Salt and Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) Garlic Powder
    • 6 Taco Shells (hard or soft shell)

Directions

  1. Sauté turkey and onion in oil.
  2. Add oregano, chili powder, salt, paprika and garlic powder. Cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally until moisture has evaporated.
  3. Heat taco shells in 350°F (180°C) oven for 5 minutes.
  4. Spoon turkey mixture into taco shells and top as desired with diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, shredded cheese and salsa
