Lifestyle Strategies to Summer Weight Loss

Adapting new simple strategies into your daily routine can not only be fun, but also give you a lifetime of results.  Weight loss does not have to be hard. We all have habits that can be fine tuned to a better body.  Here are some simple things you can do to kick start weight loss for the long term.

  • Leave calorie sugared beverages on the grocery shelf. Each week add an additional glass of water to your daily intake until you reach 8 glasses in total. This provides kidney relief and helps you shed excess water your body is holding on to from lack of it.
  • Each morning, start your day off with something warm with lemon. A glass of warm water or tea with freshly squeezed lemon triggers digestion early and helps stimulate better bowel movements.
  • Do not eat afterAfter this time your body truly wants to ‘hold on’ to the calories you consume and can make weight management more difficult.
  • With the warm sun upon you, truly embrace eating and savor every bite. Chew your food thoroughly and try to pick up the flavour of each mouth filled masterpiece. This is an easy way to consume fewer calories in the day as your taste buds are satisfied sooner.
