Burn Stomach Fat with Food

Many of us have extra inches hanging around our waistline causing more of a nuisance rather than enjoyment.  The good news is if we change a few things about our eating, and do it consistently, we can naturally widdle away our middle.

  1. Eat protein rich meals at least two times a day.  Examples include chicken, turkey, and lean beef.  Protein takes longer to digest making us feel full longer and it also burns more calories just in its digestion phase. Be a fisherman and try to eat fish at least three times each week as it alters our bodies level of leptin, which is a hormone that controls appetite.
  2. Give your liver a break. Artificial sweeteners, too much caffeine, pop, candy items and forms of sugar all put a heavy load on our liver, which lowers our metabolism. Start by committing to cut back on one of these items each day, and each week focus cutting back on another item that burdens the liver.
  3. Consider adding one of these items to your daily routine: putting fresh lemon or lime juice in your hot water, have a cup of dandelion tea which acts as a great detox, or add cayenne/ginger or cinnamon to your meals which act as a thermogenic to speed up your metabolism.
